The Rotary Club of San Pedro South held its book donation activity last Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Paradise, Maligaya 6 & 7 Daycare Centers, Brgy. San Vicente, San Pedro, Laguna, headed by Incoming President Rey Bongao, as part of the kick-off project under his term for RY 2012-2013.
Dubbed “Edukasyon, Sagot sa Pangarap Mo”, the book giving activity, Rotarians hand out sets of books (Reading Made Fun, Writing Made Fun) to students in Kinder and Nursery. Teachers, Ms. Melinda Atanoso of Paradise Day Care and Ms. Erna Torremucha of Maligaya 6 & 7 graciously accepted the books in behalf of their students as enthusiastic parents look on.
Other Rotarians present in the day-long book giving activity were Incoming AG Resty Ramos, IPE Fe Aquinde, Treas. Shirley Tejero, Dir. Ading Reyes, Rtn. Bessie Garcia, Rtn. Clemence Panopio and Rtn. Rose Valignota. RS Luz Bongao joined them in the afternoon.
On the same day, IP Rey Bongao and IPE Fe Aquinde saw the initial laying of the RCSPS Waiting Shed along San Vicente Rd., near Total Gas Station.
ON TO PARADISE: IP Rey Bongao with IAG Resty, IPE Fe, Treas. Shirley, Dir. Ading, Rtn. Bessie, Rtn. Clemence & Rtn. Rose Valignota, troop down to Paradise Day Care Center to donate books to indigent children in preparatory level.
